Fiorentina have splashed €8 million for the transfer of Victor Hugo who plays as a central defender.
Hugo began his professional career with Santo Andre. After only nine senior appearances for his boyhood club, Victor Hugo was snapped by Sport Club do Recife where he failed to make a single appearance during a year’s time.
Another year-long spell followed for Victor Hugo who made only 31 appearances for Ituano in 2012, before being sent out on a two-year loan to Ceara.
In 2013 Victor Hugo moved to America Mineiro, but it wasn’t until his loan to Palmeiras that he was given the opportunity to show his true value.
Victor Hugo won the 2016 Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A and the 2015 Copa do Brazil during a successful two-year stint with Palmeiras. He racked up 67 appearances and scored 8 goals for the Brazilian powerhouse.
